Schedule
Every 3 months or every 2000 h, whichever comes first
- The next date is counted from the last completion.
- Work order window: 7 days
Imported inactive and without equipment: assign it to your assets, set its start date (the first due date), check the intervals against the manufacturer’s manual, then switch it on.
Tasks at each service
Stop, isolate and depressurise the compressor
Stop the compressor from its controller, open and lock the electrical isolator, close the outlet valve and let the internal pressure vent completely before opening any panel.
Action15 minTools: Padlock and tag
Risks: Stored air pressure and automatic restart: never open a circuit under pressure.
Inspect and replace the air intake filter
Check the filter element and the restriction indicator; replace the element if it is clogged, damaged or due.
Action15 minTest the condensate drains
Check that every automatic drain discharges, clean its strainer and empty the condensate separator according to local rules.
Verification10 minClean the oil cooler and the aftercooler
Blow the cooler fins clean from the inside out with low-pressure air and check the cooling fan.
Action20 minRisks: Wear eye protection when blowing out dust.
Check the drive belts or coupling
Check belt tension, wear and alignment, or the condition of the flexible coupling element on direct-drive units.
Inspection10 minReplace the oil filter
Fit a new oil filter, oiling its gasket with clean compressor oil, and tighten by hand as indicated on the filter.
Action20 minonce every 2 servicesChange the compressor oil
Drain the oil while it is still warm, refill with the oil grade specified by the manufacturer up to the correct level, and dispose of the used oil through an approved collector.
Action40 minonce every 2 servicesTools: Drain container sized for the full oil charge
Risks: Hot oil: let the machine cool enough to be handled safely.
Replace the air/oil separator element
Replace the separator element and its gaskets, check the oil scavenge line and its restrictor.
Action60 minonce every 4 servicesCheck the safety valve
Check that the safety valve is not blocked, painted or leaking, and that its test is up to date according to local pressure equipment rules.
Verification10 minonce every 4 servicesRestart and record the operating values
Remove the lock, restart, check for oil and air leaks, then record the loading and unloading pressures, the discharge temperature and the running hours.
