Explore the sample data (2 minutes)
The welcome setup asks for your sector and loads matching sample data: five pieces of equipment, three work orders (open, in progress, completed) and a preventive maintenance plan. Click through the menus — Assets, Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Reports — to see what each module looks like with data in it.
Create your first real work order (1 minute)
Hit the "+ New Work Order" button. Pick an asset (or create one on the fly), write a one-line title, assign yourself, hit save. The work order appears immediately in the Kanban view and in your assigned queue.
Remove the sample data (2 clicks)
A banner at the top of every page offers 'Remove all example data'. A confirmation dialog asks once more, because it cannot be undone. Your account is now ready for your real assets.
Import your equipment list (5 minutes)
Assets → Import. Download the Excel or CSV template, paste your existing equipment list (from Excel or another CMMS export), upload it and match the columns. FreeMaint checks every row, shows you any errors, and imports the assets. You're operational.

What does the demo include?
