Sign up with email (30 seconds)

Explore the sample data (2 minutes)
Pre-loaded equipment (a manufacturing line, a warehouse, an office building), 8 sample work orders, 3 preventive maintenance schedules, a small spare-parts inventory. Click through the menus — Assets, Work Orders, PM, Inventory, Reports — to see what each module looks like with real data.
Create your first real work order (1 minute)
Hit the "+ New Work Order" button. Pick an asset (or create one on the fly), write a one-line title, assign yourself, hit save. The work order appears immediately in the Kanban view and in your assigned queue.
Toggle off the sample data (1 click)
Settings → Sample Data → 'Remove all sample data'. Confirms with a checkbox so you can't undo accidentally. Your account is now ready for your real assets.
Import your equipment list (5 minutes)
Settings → Import → Assets. Download the CSV template, paste your existing equipment (from Excel, MaintainX export, Fiix export — all standard column layouts supported), upload. FreeMaint validates the file, shows you any errors, and imports the assets. You're operational.

No. FreeMaint Core stays free forever — unlimited users, work orders, assets and time-based preventive maintenance. There is no 14-day trial countdown, no credit card required at any point. You can use the 'demo' indefinitely as your real CMMS, or upgrade to a paid tier when you need advanced features (Vendors, Workflows, AI Pro).
What does the demo include?

Can I import my existing data during the demo?

Do I need to install anything to try FreeMaint?
