Task Templates

Task Templates

Create reusable task checklists for work orders and PM

Creating Templates

Build reusable checklists

Templates define standardized procedures. Reference: TMPL-1, etc.

Start from an AI draft

In the New task template dialog, open "Generate with AI" and describe the job in one or two sentences — for example "Monthly service of the main belt conveyor: lockout, belt and roller inspection, lubrication, tension check and restart test". FreeMee fills in the name, the description and the steps (type, estimated time, tools and risks). Nothing is saved until you press Create template, so review and edit every step first. Each generation costs 3 AI credits, and only when a usable draft comes back. Available on the Business plan, to users who can manage task templates.

Applying Templates

Use on WOs and PM

Apply to work orders for instant structured checklists.

On PM Plans

In the plan's "Task Template" card, click "Use Template": the steps are copied into the plan, and every work order it generates includes them.

Templates are starting points: adjust the steps to the job once added. Only active templates are offered — deactivate one to retire it without deleting it.

On Work Orders

  1. Open the work order and go to the "Procedure & Tasks" tab
  2. Click "Use a task template"
  3. Choose the template
  4. Its steps are added after the existing ones

Managing Templates

Maintain your library

Keep templates organized and current.

Assign ownership to subject matter experts.

Tips

  • Review quarterly
  • Deactivate obsolete ones
  • Update when procedures change
  • Categorize for discovery
  • Track usage
