Checklist items

1. The inventory is up to date and a current safety data sheet is available for every product

2. Every container is labelled with the product name and its hazard pictograms

   Including transfer containers and spray bottles; no unlabelled container.

3. Incompatible products are segregated

   Acids away from bases, oxidisers away from flammables, following sections 7 and 10 of each safety data sheet.

4. Containers are closed, in good condition, with no leak or corrosion

5. Retention bunds and trays are in good condition, clean and empty of liquid

   And large enough for the volumes stored above them, as required by local regulation.

6. Flammable liquids are kept in a ventilated store or a fire-resistant cabinet

7. The store ventilation works and there is no chemical smell
