Interactive Plans

Turn plans, P&IDs and supervision views into clickable maps

3 min read

Upload any plan image โ€” a site layout, a P&ID, an electrical schematic or a supervision view โ€” then draw clickable zones on it. A zone can open a piece of equipment, a location, a part, a parts list, or another plan, so a P&ID set with off-page connectors becomes something you can navigate by clicking. Zones linked to equipment or a location also show a live count of open work orders and turn red when work is overdue. Import your layout as a PDF or image (AutoCAD, Revit or Visio export โ€” the first page of a PDF is converted automatically).

Availability

Viewing plans is available on every plan. Creating and editing them (uploading a plan, drawing zones) requires the Enterprise plan.

Key features

  • Upload plans, P&IDs, schematics and supervision views
  • Draw rectangle or free-form polygon zones, or place simple point markers
  • A zone can open equipment, a location, a part, a parts list, or another plan
  • Click a plan zone to drill down, with a breadcrumb trail back
  • Live open work-order count and overdue colour on equipment and location zones
  • Click a zone to preview work orders, stock levels or inspections
  • Find a plan from the Plans tab on any asset or location
  • Give each asset type its own symbol โ€” set it once on the category, or override a single marker
  • Colour markers by work status or by asset type, and filter the plan from its legend

Tip

Link each zone to what it represents, so the live counts and previews appear automatically. A zone whose target is later deleted says so instead of going blank โ€” reopen the plan to re-link it.

Tip

Set a Symbol on each asset category (Settings โ†’ Categories) and every asset of that type is marked with it on every plan โ€” no need to edit markers one by one. You can also upload your own marker images.
