Sending Feedback

Report a bug or suggest an improvement from inside the app

4 min read

Bugs you run into and features you wish existed are best sent from inside FreeMaint. Everything that arrives that way gets a reference, is prioritised against the rest of the roadmap, and notifies you when it ships.

Where to find it

The same form is also available from Support in the left sidebar. On the mobile app it is the same button, under "Report a bug".

  1. Look for the round button at the bottom right of any screen โ€” the one labelled "Help and feedback".
  2. Tap it, then choose "Submit Feedback".
  3. Pick the type of feedback, describe what happened, and attach a screenshot if it helps.
  4. Send it. Your browser details and the page you were on are attached automatically.

Choosing a type

Bug Report

Something is broken, or behaves differently from what the documentation says.

Feature Request

Something FreeMaint does not do yet that your team needs.

Improvement

Something that works, but is slower or more awkward than it should be.

Question

You are not sure how to do something. Our in-app assistant often answers these instantly.

Following what you sent

Open Support in the sidebar and switch to My Requests to see everything you have submitted and where it stands. When a request ships it appears in the What's New panel, and you are notified.

Tip

For a "how do Iโ€ฆ" question, try FreeMee first โ€” the assistant behind the same bottom-right button. It knows the product and answers immediately, which is usually faster than waiting for a reply.

Important

Email works too, but it gets no reference, cannot be voted on by other users, and cannot notify you when the work is done. Use the in-app form whenever you can.
