Need a hand to set FreeMaint up, bring your data in, train your team or review how you organise maintenance? Describe your need once, inside FreeMaint: we send it to up to three independent service partners who work in your country and in your language.

Where to find it

In the web app, “Ask a partner for help” appears only for your company's administrators (roles that hold the company settings permission), only when at least one listed partner works in your company's country, and never in a workspace that a reseller provides under its own brand. It is offered in five places:

  • The “Help and feedback” button, at the bottom right of every screen.
  • The Help Center (the question-mark icon in the header), under “Get Help”.
  • The Help page (Support > Help in the sidebar), in the “Get help from a service partner” box below the FreeMaint Academy card.
  • The import window: at the upload step, and again in the results when some rows could not be imported.
  • The form you fill in when you delete your account or your company, if your reason is that FreeMaint was too difficult, that you had no time to set it up, that you never really got started, or that you got stuck importing your data.

Tip

If partners are listed but none works in your country yet, the floating button shows “Find a service partner” instead: it opens the public partner directory in a new tab.

Send a request

  1. Under “What do you need?”, choose “Setup & data migration”, “Team training” or “Maintenance consulting”.
  2. Under “Language”, choose the language you want to work in. The languages spoken by partners in your country come first.
  3. Under “Indicative budget”, pick a range in US dollars, or “I don't know yet”.
  4. Under “Describe your need”, explain what you expect in 20 to 2,000 characters. Do not paste phone numbers: a partner who accepts receives your e-mail address.
  5. Check your details (name, e-mail address, company, country), tick the consent box and click “Send my request”.

What happens next

  • Your request goes to up to three listed partners of your company's country who offer this service and work in this language. They see your need, not your contact details.
  • Each partner has 48 hours to accept or pass. When one passes or does not answer, the request is offered to the next partner, for up to 14 days.
  • Up to three partners can accept the same request. Each partner who accepts receives your name, e-mail address and company and writes to you directly, and you receive an e-mail for each acceptance, with a link to the partner's listing.
  • If no listed partner of your country offers this service in this language, or if nobody accepts, you are told by e-mail and placed on your country's waiting list: we write to you as soon as a partner covers your need.

Your requests

Below the form, “Your requests” lists your company's requests of the last 90 days, with their status and the partners who accepted. While a request is open, “Cancel” stops it: partners who have not answered no longer receive it, and partners who already accepted keep your contact details.

Limits

  • One open request per service at a time, for your whole company.
  • At most five requests per company over 30 days.

When the form is not available

The page says why. Verify your e-mail address first, since partners reply to it, and set your company's country in Company Settings so that we can find partners who work there. In a workspace that a reseller provides under its own brand, contact your provider directly. Someone viewing your workspace on your behalf cannot send a request for you, and requests cannot be sent from some countries and regions.

Without a FreeMaint account

Visitors can send the same request from the public form at freemaint.com/services/partners/request, giving their name, e-mail address, company and country. When the request reaches partners, they receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to cancel it. The directory of listed partners is at freemaint.com/services/partners.

Important

Partners are independent companies listed in the FreeMaint directory. They quote, contract and invoice their work themselves. FreeMaint does not sell these services and is not part of the exchange between you and the partner.

Tip

Once you have chosen a partner, give their team access to your workspace with the ready-made “Service partner” role: see “Invite your service partner into your workspace”.
