Specific Dates Scheduling

Specific-dates scheduling runs a preventive maintenance on an explicit list of calendar dates instead of a fixed interval — ideal for seasonal or irregular work such as pest control, HVAC season prep, or grounds upkeep.

When to use it

• Pest control concentrated in spring and summer
• HVAC summer tune-up and winter heating prep
• Grounds and landscaping at the start of each season
• Any plan whose dates don't fall on an even interval

How to set it up

• Create or edit a preventive maintenance plan
• Set the Schedule type to Specific dates
• Add each date the maintenance should run, and remove any you don't need
• Save — the earliest upcoming date becomes the next due date

Good to know

• Each date generates its own work order when it comes due — turn on auto-create to do this automatically.
• Completing a work order does not move the other dates; the schedule stays fixed.
• Skip a single occurrence by cancelling its work order — the remaining dates are unaffected.
