Create Your First Locationen

Locations represent physical spaces โ€” buildings, floors, rooms, or zones where maintenance happens. Setting up locations first makes organizing everything else easier.

Why Locations Matter

  • Organize assets by physical location
  • Filter work orders and reports by location
  • Assign teams to specific areas
  • Track costs per facility

Creating a Location

  1. Navigate to Locations from the sidebar
  2. Click 'Add Location'
  3. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., 'Building A - Ground Floor')
  4. Select the type (Building, Floor, Room, Zone)
  5. Optionally set a parent location for hierarchy
  6. Add address details for top-level locations
  7. Click 'Save'

Building a Hierarchy

  • Main Factory (Building)
  • Ground Floor (Floor)
  • Production Line 1 (Zone)
  • Production Line 2 (Zone)
  • First Floor (Floor)
  • Office Area (Room)

Tip

Use consistent naming with identifiers like building codes: 'BLD-A / FL-1 / RM-101'.
